10/18/09 Super Thanks go out to Kimberly Michalek for officiation the women's league and also to Alan Sabal and Ariel Gonzales for helping out in our final week of elimination games. AWARDING NIGHT: Oct 24th for both men's and women's league.  Champions get a shirt and the runners up will take home a medal.  10/18/09 The tournament will be on double-round robin format elimination round with the top 4 teams advancing to the single eliminations play-offs (1st vs. 4th; 2nd vs. 3rd) and will play a winner-take-all best of FIVE sets (sets 1-4 played to 25 points with cap of 28). Remaining top two teams will play the championship of best of FIVE sets (sets 1-4 played to 25 points and cap of 28, set 5 up to 15 points cap of 20).  Teams placed 5th-8th will play a best-of-3 series games (Best of 3 played to 25 points with cap of 28, 3rd set to 15 points cap of 20). 10/11/09 13-week Co-Ed Volleyball to start on January 9, 2010 Played every Saturday 7-10pm (subject to change) at Baileys Recreation Gym in Westland.  Early Team registration is $500 a week prior to the start of league.  After that, $50 late fee will be assessed to the team.  FASAMI Membership is $5/single $8/family. 10/8/09 JUNIOR Volleyball Exhibition Games: Calling all kids ages 7-14. Fee is just $7 for each participant to cover court fees. Comment here. We now have 4 teams. Details will follow. Dates listed below: Dates: 9/26 @ 5:30pm to determine skill levels of participants 10/10 @ 5:30pm - Open Try-Outs for all ages and TRIAL game. Some practice drills to new players GAME DATE: October 24, 2009.  Selected kids will play a best of 3 set game.  Those that were not selected are invited to attend a volleyball clinic somewhere in the gym. 8/7/09 1-HOUR TIME LIMIT OBSERVED beginning Week 4 ALL SETS TO BE PLAYED TO 21-PTS starting Week 5 with a 25-pt cap. 1-HOUR TIME LIMIT: ALL SETS are to be played up to 21 points with a 25-pt cap instead of the 25-25-15 or the 25-25-25 format due to time consideration.  Also, only 2 1-minute timeout per set for BOTH TEAMS (Only 1 timeout per team per set) provided and no breaks in between sets.  Sets are played right after the other.  Game starts promptly.  7/30/09 We had a recent incident in the Center Court parking lot. Please ensure all valuables are secured and your doors locked. 7/14/09 Outside food is NOT allowed to be brought into the facility. Food is available at our concession stands.
